Schultz Buffalo Ranch

For more info, call 620-669-3783.
Products: Pastured Buffalo
A centrally-located water supply is the distictive feature that sets Schultz Buffalo Ranch apart from many
others. Fred and Marcella Schultz have over 50 Buffalo cows that graze crop forage in several paddocks.
When it is time to move the stock to another paddock to graze, they bring them all in to the water source
and open a gate to a different paddock, then close the gate from where they had been grazing. A water pump and
another windmill provide most of the fresh water. No hormones or antibiotics are used on the buffalo and
no chemicals are used on the grass. Additional feed is baled for winter feeding and some alfalfa is also
available. They also offer other unique items such as hides and dried skulls. Their processing is done
locally. In addition to listed cuts, jerky and meat sticks, their buffalo may be special ordered by the 1/4,
1/2 or whole. Buffalo is up to 97 % fat free, high in CLA and omega-3, is considered heart healthy and high
in protein. Fred and Marcella have been Members of the Kansas Buffalo Association for over 8 years and also
have over 45 beef cows.
